Homeshare service Airbnb has banned a user after renters complained that they were kicked out of a rental unit for being gay. After Jonathan Wang and his partner checked into their Airbnb in Galveston, TX, they left for a wedding reception. Upon their return, they say they were confronted by the rental unit’s owner, who asked where Wang’s wife was. When he explained that he did not have a wife, Wang says the owner asked the couple to leave. Airbnb says it has a ‘zero tolerance policy for discrimination’, and the user has been banned from the site. Wang was issued a refund for the rental. Read more: travelpulse.com
