Florida’s first official same-sex weddings took place in Miami on Monday as the state becomes the 36th US state to legalise gay marriage. Circuit Court Judge Sarah Zabel officiated at the weddings of two couples in front of the media, and there will be more mass weddings happening later this week. With Florida’s ban lifted, 70% of Americans now live in states that allow same-sex marriage, which is double the number of only one year ago. Read more: reuters.com
