While Disney parks are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you can still inject a bit of magic into your life by recreating some of the iconic snacks at home that are found in its parks around the world.

If you’re looking for a fun recipe for the whole family to make together, a French toast breakfast dish shared by the Disney Parks blog might just be the one for you. Made from chocolate, peanut butter and banana and serving four people, it's a perfectly sweet way to start your morning and is one of the many dishes that rotate seasonally on the menu at Disney’s PCH Grill at the Paradise Pier Hotel.

The French toast, and other recipes, are part of Disney's 'Cooking Up the Magic at Home' series. One blog post sees food & beverage communications co-ordinator, Alex Dunlap, sharing one of his favourite recipes – 'Churro Bites," which are derived from the famous Disney churro that can be found at all of its parks. The churro is the perfect snack to enjoy while enjoying the special virtual viewing of the all-new “Magic Happens” Parade at Disneyland, the behind-the-scenes tour of Walt Disney Imagineering, or a creative at-home recreation of Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on the Magic Moments site.

It's disappointing that we can’t check out Toy Story Land in person at present, but one consolation is that Disney recently shared its recipe for the grilled three-cheese sandwich that comes from Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. "While we can’t visit Andy’s backyard right now, this recipe is just one more great way to create #DisneyMagicMoments in your own backyard (or kitchen)," says Andy.
