About Zora
I've written guidebooks since 2003, and contributed to Lonely Planet titles on Egypt, Greece, Spain, Morocco and more. I'm particularly interested in communication -- I wrote the LP book The Art of Language, about world scripts, and a memoir about studying Arabic, All Strangers Are Kin, which won the Lowell Thomas Award for best travel book in 2016 -- as well as traditional food. Combine them both and, ideally, someone will invite me home for lunch: my definition of a successful trip.
