About Savannah Rose
Savannah Rose Dagupion is a Journalism and Mass Communication major at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and a student in Barrett, the Honors College. She is Hawaiʻi’s 2021 Journalist of the Year as recognized by the Journalism Educators Association. Savannah is a reporter for State Press Magazine and was on the 2022 editorial board for Write On, Downtown: A Journal of Phoenix creativity. When covering communities, she places importance on preserving culture and being a good steward of the land—values from her Native Hawaiian culture that stuck out to her growing up.
