About Mirva
As a travel writer and a pioneer of the digital nomad lifestyle, I have explored close to 90 countries over the last two decades. I have a special affinity for islands after growing up on a remote Baltic Sea island in Finland. Back in the day, I attended graduate school on the cosmopolitan island of Manhattan, taught journalism in the Maldives, and planted eucalyptus trees on the world's biggest island, Australia. Nowadays, I am happiest living in my adopted French-Caribbean island paradise of Guadeloupe. I love exploring its beaches, waterfalls and hot springs, especially with my French partner and our two daughters. I am excited to be raising a new generation of adventurous island girls.
