About Lucy
Lucy McGuire is a freelance travel writer and journalist based in the UK whose travels have covered all corners of the globe, from Australia and southeast Asia to southern Africa and the USA. As a Psychology graduate and former newspaper reporter, she is as fascinated by the cultures and diversity of people we meet on our travels, as much as the natural wonders, world cuisines and amazing wildlife we immerse ourselves in. Some of her favorite places she’s visited include the Caribbean islands, Zambia, South Africa and Zanzibar. Her best memories include cycling through Hells Gate National Park in Kenya, meeting a Maasai family in Tanzania and canoeing among hippos on the Zambezi River.
