About Joseph Richard
Born and bred on the wild South Wales coast, Joe (or, as most call him, Rich) has been traveling and travel writing since 2013. He splits his time mainly between the ocean and the mountains, but also likes to drop in a little urban culture – craft beer (too much), jazz, classical art – here and there to balance things out.
His favourite trips to date include explorations of the snow-capped Southern Alps of New Zealand, surfing jaunts to the southwestern reefs of Sri Lanka, and hopping the atmospheric colonial cities of central Mexico to the breaks on the Pacific coast. His current interests mainly center on surf travel, ski travel, and adventure travel. When he's not hauling his backpack and board, you can usually find him paddling around the rugged Gower Peninsula, his much-loved base between trips.
