Gay rights activists march in Boston’s St Patrick’s parade for first time

The rainbow flag was flying high and proud in Boston on Sunday when gay rights activists joined the St Patrick’s Day parade for the first time in the history of the event. Organizers lifted a ban that had been in place for two decades forbidding gay groups to march in the parade due to the conflict between homosexuality and the Roman Catholic doctrine.
