Disneyland and Disney World have good news for vegan travellers

In a land of corndogs and chocolate-dipped churros, vegans at Disneyland and Disney World may have found it hard to find the perfect meal to eat.
But that’s about to change as the parks announce that most of their restaurants are adding new plant-based options.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, all of the major quick and table service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will soon offer vegan options. They will also make things easier for guests by adding a leaf-symbol to menus so they can easily tell what items suit their vegan diet. These new menu-items will avoid ingredients like meat, dairy, eggs or honey and instead stick to veggie, fruits, grains, legumes and more.

The changes will come beginning in October at Walt Disney World Resort, along with new options at the theme parks and resort hotels, while they will hit Disneyland in spring 2020. There will be “hundreds of sweet and savory creations” that will be added to menus around the parks. In fact, more than 400 vegan dishes will be available across the hundreds of different places to dine in the parks. For example, guests will be able to eat steamed Asian dumpling at Le Cellier at Epcot, a Felucian Garden Spread (plant-based kefta, hummus, salad and pita) at Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo at Galaxy’s Edge, and a Pandora-inspired chili-spiced crispy fried tofu bowl from Satu’il Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
