The boat is around 59 feet long and believed to be 4500 years old. Archeologists found the remains at the site of the Abusir necropolis not far from Cairo. Artefacts discovered around the vessel, including a bowl inscribed with the name of King Huni from of the Third Dynasty, point to the notoriety of the owner of the boat and their possible close connection to the pharaoh of that time. The Charles University has said that the ritual of burying boats next to your tomb site helps to link the wreckage to the Early Dynastic Period. Read more: foxnews.com
